Let’s start with the official video that was released by Microsoft before the launch of Windows 10. This video explains that despite the debacle of Windows 8, Microsoft has tried to incorporate the need for everyone in Windows 10.
However, despite their efforts Windows 10 faced mixed reviews from different sections of the users.
According to InfoWorld, “Windows 10 is what Windows 8 should have been, but it has too many rough edges to attract Windows 7 users.”
While another networking forum of Windows 10 users commented “After the truly wretched Windows 8, and marginally fewer wretched Windows 8.1, Windows 10 comes as a breath of fresh air.”
Our friends across the Atlantic were bold enough to comment that “Windows 10 – A future to be embraced, not feared. Wiping away the stain of Windows 8 with great new features.”
However, “Windows 10 is a combination of the strength of Windows 8 with the user friendliness of Windows 7” is what a member of the R&D team of Microsoft Windows 10, commented on the eve of the launch party of Windows 10.
Now if you plan on upgrading to Windows 10. Well, there is no harm is doing that since the upgrade is free and let’s face it aren’t we all a bit bored with the same old “Windows 7.” I’m not counting Windows 8 here, for the sole reason that it actually “SUCKS!” I hope that, I’m not going too far with my statement; however, even Microsoft agrees with my notion about Windows 8.
Like everything Microsoft has launched until date, Even Windows 10 has its Pros and Cons.
Pros:
- Amazing new features are added.
- The Tablet mode is better for users with touchscreen notebooks.
- And most importantly, it’s FREE!
Cons:
- Search items are broken.
- Not all features are independent; some of them are drivers dependent.
- Some added features find little or no use with the present set of hardware available.
